Bidjar rugs are affectionately known as Iron rugs because they are so densely woven. There is no other rug that packs in quite as much wool per knot. The trick? They wet the wool whilst tying and after it dries it explodes out. The result is that the pile hardly moves when you walk on top of it. A rug for generations!
